We have invested heavily in the latest energy saving electronics. Whenever possible we use products that have a low fuel footprint (locally made). Austin Media uses state of the art amplification systems that use less than half the electrical energy of traditional high powered amplifiers! Austin Media uses state of the art digital mixing consoles that use only twenty percent of the electrical energy of comparable analog consoles & processors! We prefer wood speaker cabinets to the plastic you'll see a lot of, wood is a sustainable resource and has a minimal environmental impact long term. Our equipment handling and maintainence proceedures are so good that we have many items in inventory that are more than 25 years old! All of our electronic equipment is recycled at its "end of lifecycle" in accordance with the latest and most stringent recycling standards. We use BioDiesel in our delivery trucks when and where available. We use (bio)diesel generators when and where available. We at Austin Media have made a company wide commitment to recycle.
